With the Zendaya fiasco going on, is Fashion Police losing its steam?
Ever since Joan Rivers left (literally), the show has been lamer than ever, and Giuliana Rancic made the mistake of using racism as a punchline to salvage the show’s receding wit.
The topic is the Disney star’s dreadlock hairstyle at the recent Oscars, where she said: “I feel that she smells like patchouli oil… or weed. Yeah, maybe weed.”
Zendaya, offended, naturally expressed her (lengthy) disappointment:
Other stars came to her defense, including Fashion Police co-host Kelly Osbourne, tweeting “I WILL NOT BE DRAGED INTO THIS! (sic)” and “I DO NOT CONDONE RACISM SO AS A RSULT OF THIS IM SEREIOULSY QUESTIONONIG STAYING ON THE SHOW! (sic)”
Realizing the gravity of that small interjection, Giuliana issued a statement:
Do you think it’s sincere?
