The band member is now engaged to his girlfriend, Perrie Edwards, as confirmed by a source to E! News last August 21.
Perrie rocked an exquisite three-stone diamond ring on Tuesday’s London premiere of One Direction‘s full-length feature, This Is Us.
She strolled the red carpet with her own posse, Little Mix, who are also products of UK’s X Factor.
Debbie Duffy, Perrie’s mother, hushed all suspicions to Real Radio North East’s Gary & Lisa Show, where she said, “It’s true. They got engaged on Sunday (August 18) and it was absolutely lovely.”
“He did the traditional asking me and then asking his mum and dad and everything,” she added. “It was fabulous–just lovely.”
Zayn briefly dated the girl group hottie in 2011, but only came out as a couple officially last April 2012.
As to the wedding details, we might have to wait a bit longer for that.
“They’ll wait ’til 2014, 2015…One Direction are doing so much and Little Mix are the same. They’re out of the country most the time doing their promotion for this, that and the other, so it’s just unbelievable. But I think they will eventually get together and set the date,” mum adds.
