Contrary to what the general population may believe, being a celebrity is not a walk in the park. Even though it comes with it’s perks, the famous life is a life that isn’t meant for everybody. Can you imagine trying to live out your day to day life always having to be cognizant of the way you look, what you’re doing, and where you’re going so that the paparazzi doesn’t take unwanted photos of you, your innocent child, or your childhood friend they’re going to claim you’re having an affair with?
It sounds a little melodramatic, but you know it happens. You read the tabloids. How many of those magazine covers do you just roll your eyes at? How many of those magazines do you then flip through and read while waiting in line to check out your groceries? It was impulse. It was sheer carnal curiosity that got you to flip open that page, and maybe even buy the magazine.
That’s the goal. The tabloids just won, and you were part of making that celebrates life a lot harder than it needs to be by buying into the madness. Because this is the way things work and celebrities can’t seem to go anywhere without getting overrun, here are ways celebrities get the privacy they so desperately want.
They Stay in Their Homes
Depending on where a celebrity is in their life and career, chances are good that they’re living right in Los Angeles area. It’s where all the work is. But living in the greater L.A. area means there are a lot more eyes on you all the time, waiting for you to leave your den. This is why celebrities don’t leave their homes unless they have to.
If they live right on the ocean, they have private beaches and land that is covered in vegetation to protect them from prying eyes and give them a little bit of Eden in the chaos that is California.
They Go Elsewhere
Celebrities can be pretty good at staying out of the limelight if they want to. Because they’re famous and usually have a lot of money to their names, they can afford to travel to far off distances at a moment’s notice. Most of the time this is done on private jets that keep them from having to fly amongst passengers on a commercial flight.
There are many highly rated golf clubs and other clubs of the sort that exist solely for those looking for a place to relax, spend their money, and live life without being attacked by the general public. Justin Timberlake is known to enjoy a large majority of his time in the mountains of Montana skiing the winter away, or golfing to his heart’s desire. The same can be said for most every other celebrity out there.
