Catherine Zeta Jones battles with Bipolar II disorder
Fame and/or fortune may either be one of the three wishes you’d ask a genie from the magic lamp. Beauty and/or talent could be on there too. But it’s just amazing and sometimes downright unfair how some people in this earth can just have all of them and yet life still manages to throw a mean curve ball! Catherine Zeta-Jones, has always been that celebrity who shines with it all! The 41 yr old Welsh actress seemed to be unstoppable in her career, unfading with her beauty, blessed with a solid marriage to Michael Douglas and just last year… the man in her life was diagnosed with stage 4 throat cancer.
Zeta-Jones has gracefully carried on over the past year helping her husband battle with his health. He is now tumour free. However, she was reported to have recently checked into an unnamed mental health facility to get help for bipolar II. Her representative states the actress spent five days getting help for this disorder which may have stemmed from the stress she had to go through last year. The woman powered through difficult times, with her stepson Cameron sentenced to 5 years in prison on drug charges along with a bitter court case with Michael’s ex-wife who wanted Douglas’ earnings from the sequel of Wall Street.
Many people suffer from bipolar disorder, and often times aren’t even aware of it. Bipolar II manifests itself through irritation and mildly elevated moods called hypomania. Stress is a trigger factor but hereditary predisposition is most often to blame. It is a long-term illness that will require psychotherapy and medication to help people manage stress and overcome the highs and lows.
Catherine Zeta-Jones’ courageous decision to come forward to the public about her illness serves as an inspiration for many of those who quietly and hesitantly suspect their affliction to come forward and seek treatment.

5 Stars Go Naked For “Allure”
It isn’t just Catherine Zeta-Jones’ May cover that’s getting people to purchase Allure’s May issue; it’s the five stars that went all the way for the magazine’s annual “The Naked Truth” photo shoot.
First, there’s American Idol judge Kara Dioguardi, who proudly went from a size 8 to a sexier size 2. “Food is not what I use to anesthetize myself anymore,” she said.
Second, there’s actress Regina Hall, who credited her svelte body to Ashtanga Yoga, which she’s been doing five days a week since the beginning of January.
Third, there’s Emmanuelle Chriqui, one of the stars of Entourage. She may have one of the most sought-after pair of assets, but she revealed, “[I wish] I could have had a dancer’s body.”
Fourth, there’s Grey’s Anatomy’s Jessica Capshaw, who actually doesn’t see herself as super sexy. “I was never a rail-thin person,” she said.
Lastly, there’s singer Colbie Caillat, who initially had worries about her baring it all for Allure. “I worried that it might make [my younger fans] think I was changing somehow,” she said.

Whatever happened to…Catherine Zeta Jones?
Married 400-year old Michael Douglas. Most significant role in the last three years involved T-Mobile, commercials and a giant WTF. She made it to Ocean’s Twelve, but Angelina Jolie cut her off after that and you didn’t get to see her in the third movie. Maybe that is what happened to her? After locking lips with Brad Pitt in the movie, Angelina simply wasn’t having it so she blacklisted Catherine for all movies.
Wow, Angelina has some major power. I mean she doesn’t mess around. I guess she felt bad for Jennifer Aniston because she took her man so she let her at least do the same role over and over and over and over again in all of her movies. Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned.
I only know that because a woman tattooed that on my private parts. I won’t go into detail about the story, but it included Mt. Rushmore, smores and a squirrel.
Anyways let me go look at the great IMDB to see if she is doing anything new this year. Doesn’t look like anything till 2011, but I did learn something new. Her father is Irish and her mother is Welsh. I had no idea, I always assumed she was Mexican. Since when do Irish and Welsh people look like her? She is exotic and they are ginger-haired, pale with freckles.
What a crazy world we live in.
