If you ever saw that episode of “I Love Lucy” where Lucy and Ethel spot famous celebrities at the Brown Derby restaurant, you might think it’s silly to go to a restaurant just to spot celebrities. Whether you’re a star gazer or you just like quality food, restaurants that are frequented by celebrities are always the best places in town to eat.
This barn-themed village is filled with luxe shopping, eating, and just hanging out. This is one of the most celebrity-dense areas where you’ll see the likes of Ben Affleck, Cheryl Hines, Reese Witherspoon, and Heidi Klum. The family friendly environment means there are lots of little stars running around. Spend your money at shops like Jenni Kayne and Sugar Paper before heading to Farmshop for some lunch.
Owned by sushi extraordinaire, Chef Nobu Matsuhisa, and co-founded by Robert DeNiro, this restaurant is the place in LA to go for world-class sushi. According to Timeout.com, if you want to see the stars, make sure you ask to be seated in the main dining room instead of the bar. If you are lucky enough to swing by the private dining rooms, you’re more likely to catch sight of stars like Bradley Cooper, Magic Johnson, and Kim Kardashian.
This semi-casual Italian restaurant serves up a delectable loaf of bread and a mouth-watering pizza (of course). Frequent visitors say that even if you don’t see any celebs, the food is so good you probably wouldn’t notice any unless they sat down at your table. Don’t come in big groups; the restaurant has more seating options if you come as a duo. As you’re gnoshing on that bread, keep an eye out for JLo, Rihanna, and even the curmudgeonly Gordon Ramsay.
Victoria Beckham, Halle Berry, and Leo DiCaprio all love this New York Mediterranean restaurant. No matter how much you want to see a star, unless you like olive oil, not even rubbing elbows with Johnny Depp will make this meal worthwhile. Every meal begins with an olive oil flight and the oil is used frequently through your entire meal, even dessert. The courtyard is great for a lunch break and a frequent pit stop for stars worn out from shopping all over Melrose Place.
This uber healthy restaurant serves up piles of food that the most gorgeous stars love to scarf down. You’ll see trim stars like Jake Gyllenhaal, Jessica Alba, and Kate Bosworth getting their macrobiotics (also what the M in the restaurant name stands for). If you want to catch any glimpse of a star you can, then ask to sit on the patio. It’s right next to the parking lot so you’re sure to see whoever shows up even if they don’t sit by you. If you’ve never been here before, make sure you check out a menu ahead of time to make sure macrobiotic food is your thing.
Is there any better combo than celebrity-quality food while you rub elbows with someone famous? If you can’t think of anything better, then these star studded eateries are everything you need.
