It seems that it has been ages since we saw and heard Whitney Houston, once considered one of the greatest divas. Over the weekend, though, she showed the world that she is back by performing at a pre-Grammy party in honor of Clive Davis. It seems that her story’s happy ending is here at last. Welcome back, girl!
Talk about preempting. Star Trek is due for release in May but the star, Chris Pine has already received an award. ShoWest Male Star of Tomorrow has been awarded to the young star, who plays Kirk. Now this makes me want to see the movie even more!
The female half of TomKat is going to be seen at the SAG Awards as a presenter for an acting category. She will be joining a lot of other celebrities who will be presenting awards as well. No mention of her hubby, I think.
Stamp collectors have some new Australian stamps to add to their collection – those with the faces of Nicole Kidman and Russell Crowe immortalized in them. Oh yeah, Cate Blanchett and Geoffrey Rush have their own stamps, too. I wonder how much these stamps will cost years from now?
Many walked away from the Golden Globes winners on Sunday and one of them was Kate Winslet, who won Best Supporting Actress for Reader. Why write about Winslet alone when there are so many other winners? I guess we’ve been waiting for something big from her ever since she and Leo did Titanic. Just one more challenge up ahead – actually winning something in the Oscars.
