There aren’t too many redheads on the screen anymore and that means an even smaller number of them are attractive. Alicia Witt falls under the attractive category, but there is just one problem. She can’t act for a lick. I mean the only redhead that can act off the top of my head is Amy Adams and her movies are made solely for women. Maybe I’m being harsh because I saw 88 Minutes and it made my top 5 all-time worst movies list.
I can see why you would want to be in that movie. It’s a role and Al Pacino is starring in it. Hard for it to go wrong, but man it went really wrong. It was like the people that casted the movie decided to put everyone that annoys me in Hollywood in that film.
I see that movie on cable now and I change it to PBS just to cleanse myself, that is how bad the movie was. There are a ton of bad movies, but there is always a performance by someone in the movie that seems as though they are trying to carry the movie themselves. Alicia wasn’t that person in this movie.
I say give her another shot though. The world can only take so many Amy Adams romcoms.
