Zooey Deschanel May Play Betty Brant In Spider-Man Prequel
The Spider-Man prequel may have found their Betty Brant in actress Zooey Deschanel.
According to the PopCrunch announcement:
“Betty was a minor character in the previous Spidey movies, but Marc has big plans for her. He wants a strong performer to carry the role, and Zooey fits the bill perfectly. The role is hers if she wants it.”
Andrew Garfield of The Social Network has also been confirmed as the new Peter Park with Emma Stone also confirmed for the role of Gwen Stacy.

Wedding bells rang for Zooey Deschanel and singer Ben Gibbard on Saturday. The couple got formally engaged in December of last year, after around 12 months of dating.
