British pop star Lily Allen was admitted to the hospital on Saturday. According to her reps she is suffering from Septicemia, also known as blood poisoning.
Allen’s late term miscarriage came at nearly six months pregnant and occurred two years after her last miscarriage.
According to The Sun Allen was rushed to the hospital after complaining of stomach pains but doctors were unable to save her premature baby, doctors then diagnosed her with septicemia.
The disease which involves bacteria in the blood stream can lead to fevers, chills, rapid breathing and an increased heart rate and possibly death if left untreated.
