Leonardo DiCaprio Pictured Playing J. Edgar Hoover

Look it’s J. Edgar Hoover in the flesh! Okay it’s not, but it is Oscar-nominated actor Leonardo DiCaprio playing J. Edgar Hoover and that’s not to shabby either.

The picture shown above was taken from the set of J. Edgar the biopic penned by Dustin Lance Black and being directed by the uber-talented Clint Eastwood.

Also in the film (but not pictured) is co-star Armie Hammer who plays Clyde Tolson, Hoover’s right-hand man and bedfellow.

Leonardo DiCaprio Buys Rights To JFK Conspiracy Book

Leonardo DiCaprio, through his production company, has won the rights to Legacy of Secrecy:The Long Shadow of the JFK Assassination a book that claims the mafia was at the heart of John F. Kennedy’s 1963 assassination.

Reps for DiCaprio confirmed the actors purchased of the books rights which will be produced by Warner Bros.

Apparently DiCaprio’s father George introduced the book to him years ago and he was excited to get his hands on the rights to the novel.

Leonardo DiCaprio To Play J. Edgar Hoover? [Biopic]

Leonardo DiCaprio is reportedly set to play J. Edgar Hoover in a Clint Eastwood directed biopic according to Deadline.com.

The bio-pic was written by Oscar-winning screenwriter Dustin Lance Black who wrote the screenplay for Milk.

If all goes as planned Leo will team up with Eastwood for the first time and given Leo’s excellent ability to take on characters from the past such as Howard Hughes in The Aviator, it should be a good match.
