Glee To Debut Two Original Songs During March 15 Show

Entire Glee Cast Posing For Camera

The cast of Glee have performed songs from such popular artists as Madonna, Justin Bieber, Jay-Z, even Michael Jackson but that apparently isn’t good enough for show creator Ryan Murphy who plans to debut two original songs when the series airs  on March 15.

Columbia Records on Tuesday announced that the tracks will debut during the show and also released the name of the songs “Loser Like Me” and “Get It Right.” Both songs will also be part of the Glee: The Music, Volume 5 CD which will premiere before the show on March 8.

Glee Announces Summer Tour Dates For 2011

Wanna make sure you get your fill of Glee during the summer months? Fox’s popular TV show has announced various cities they will be touring in Summer 2011.

Unlike their massive 5 city tour in 2011, the group of singers has extended their campaign in 2011 to 16 cities throughout the US and Canada.

The tour will kick off May 21 in Las Vegas and then travel throughout several large US locations.

‘The X Factor’ U.S. Winner To Receive $5 Million

Fox wants to make a big splash with Simon Cowell’s U.S version of The X Factor and to make sure that will happen the network has announced a recording contract worth $5 million.

Like Cowell’s American Idol, the new show pits singers against one another with the guidance of “celebrity mentors” while groups are also allowed to compete on the show.

The UK version of The X Factor helped launched the highly successful career of Leona Lewis.

The $5 million record contract, part of a deal with Sony Music/Syco deal has no age restrictions and is the biggest in game show history.

American Idol Reject Sues Show For Third Time

Ian Benardo is that kid on the playground who can’t accept losing to the cooler kids, the American Idol reject is suing the show for the third time, claiming discriminatory practices against Idol producers.

According to Benardo, the show’s producers “exploited” him by asking that he “gay it up” for the show.

Benardo has tried the same tactic two other times, first asking for $300 million, then $100 million. This time Ian is asking for a measly $5 million

American Idol Debuts To Lowest Ratings In Years

Randy Jackson, Steven Tyler, Jennifer Lopez and Ryan Seacrest debuted the newest season of American Idol with ratings down by 13 percent compared to 2010’s show.

According to industry numbers, 26.1 million viewers tuned in to check out the newest season of singers and no doubt the new judging panel. While those numbers are considerably lower than last season, American Idol still easily won the night.

The ratings were the lowest debut since Summer 2002.
