Don’t worry, it’s just a temporary tattoo!
Dakota Fanning
The Runaways: Then and Now
The Runaways had its red carpet premiere last Tuesday at The Arclight Theaters in Hollywood, California. It was a cool moment in rock ‘n roll history when lead actresses Dakota Fanning and Kristen Stewart ran into real-life Runaways Joan Jett and Cherie Currie.

Dakota and Kristen play Joan and Cherie respectively in the ’70s biopic of their all-girl rock band The Runaways. Fans are looking forward to Dakota’s mature role and her onscreen kiss with rebel Kristen.
Although the PG kind is worried about the movie’s sexual, druggie, and wild partying themes, I say nay to the critics! The ’70s was an iconic time in history when rock ‘n roll was in its purest form—way before the pop kind tainted it with bubblegum and candy.
Two days to go before it’s out for public consumption!
The Runaways’ New TV Spot
Call me a fan. Call me overexcited. Call me a flower child wannabe; I don’t care. March 19 is too far away and I cannot wait to see The Runaways. I’ve raved about it for the past few weeks, and like most overindulgent fans, my heart rate speeds up whenever I see new tidbits, videos, and photos of the movie.
Here’s my fix of the week—the new 30-second TV spot.
There’s also the official teaser poster to smile about.
Dakota Fanning’s Vogue Italy Fashion Shoot
Whenever female stars come of age, they always find a way to tell the world that they’re all grown up. Some go for sexier film roles, some party like crazy and become tabloid fodder, while the rest pose for fashion magazines.
Miley Cyrus did it for Vanity Fair in 2008. Princess Beatrice of York did it for Tatler in 2005. Now Dakota Fanning’s doing it—a lot of it, actually. She was Teen Vogue’s cover girl on December 2009, and V Magazine’s in January. Now she’s in Vogue Italia’s February 2010 issue.
Her Tom Munro fashion editorial outdoes all the other couture shoots we’ve seen of the now 16-year-old.
“I’ve grown up,” Dakota said in the interview, “The parts I choose today are different.”
“The photo shoot for Vogue Italia was like a dream,” she said.
And yes, thick eyebrows are back!
That’s it. I cannot wait for her latest flick, The Runaways!
