There are Trekkies and there are Star Trek fans. Whichever group you belong to, I am going to bet my bottom dollar that you would want to be at the next Calgary Comic Expo in April. The event is not a stranger to people from Star Trek as the likes of Capt. Kirk, Spock, and Sulu themselves have personally participated in the expo. This year, however, things are going to be bigger. Much bigger.
It’s not that Capt. Kirk, Spock, and Sulu are not big in themselves, but how about seeing the entire principal cast of Star Trek: The Next Generation all in one go?
Now tell get hold of yourself, and take control of that heart beating out of control – if you haven’t fallen out of your chair yet!
Come April 28, Trekkie participants and visitors of the Calgary Comic Expo will be in for what might be the biggest treat of their lives. Slated for the expo are Star Trek: The Next Generation cast members Sir Patrick Stewart, Jonathan Frakes, Brent Spiner, Wil Wheaton, LeVar Burton, Michael Dorn, Marina Sirtis, Gates McFadden, and Denise Crosby. This is making me think about a real little Sheldon Cooper somewhere out there already planning on how to get to Alberta by whatever means possible. Let’s hope that Wil Wheaton actually really shows up this time around.
In other news, expect to pay for the privilege of being part of this landmark event; and in the meantime, do whatever it is that you have to – maybe get together your collection in case you get the chance to have them signed.
