Reese Witherspoon gets a reality check in handcuffs and offers a grovelling apology through her publicists.
Well there’s nothing like an arrest to humble the hell out of a Hollywood diva.
Reese Witherspoon was with her husband, Hollywood agent James Toth, in a Ford Fusion along Atlanta’s Peachtree Road early Friday when police pulled them over for zigzagging across lanes.
Witherspoon tried to push her weight around with her now infamous line, “Do you know my name?”
The officer, Trooper First Class James Pyland replied, “No, I don’t need to know your name — right now.”
Witherspoon then fired back, “You’re about to find out who I am.”
The Oscar-winning actress’ memorable exchange with the officer of the law went viral, as copies of the official police report on her disorderly conduct arrest made it online.
Toth was arrested after he blew a 0.139% in a breathalyzer test, and Reese couldn’t sit still watching her husband get arrested.

Reese released this statement, “It was definitely a scary situation and I was frightened for my husband, but that is no excuse. I was disrespectful to the officer who was just doing his job. I have nothing but respect for the police and I’m very sorry for my behavior.”
