The world is seemingly run by celebrities. In reality, there are many faces besides the ones you see cluttering up newsstands and your Facebook and Instagram feeds that are the ones who are actually making the cogs of the world turn. Some of them are very high profile, like the President of the United States, or Donald Trump, whom before running for president was as much a celebrity and television personality as he was a man who ran businesses that majorly affect the U.S. economy.
There are also the celebrities who seemingly do a lot, but it’s not stuff that is really doing anything for the good of the country as a whole. They are your Paris Hiltons and your Kim Kardashian’s. They are the ones who do everything possible to stay in the limelight, but surprisingly enough, being a celebrity does not always make you a living. People who are famous often have to do a lot of things you wouldn’t expect to make the money you see them so carelessly spending.

You’ve seen the tabloids littered with news about celebs that squandered away their money, or about the ones who took a really stupid job that they didn’t want to do just because they needed the money. Celebrities are some of the most overworked people on the planet. Well, some of them, anyways. In order to make money as a celebrity, you have to be business minded, and you have to think of yourself-your name as the business you’re pushing.
Celebrities who are not savvy with business are the ones who get taken advantage of, they’re the ones who lose out on a lot of opportunity, and they’re the ones you always see making fools of themselves all over the place. Buying or selling a business in 2016 doesn’t have to be hard. The celebrities who understand that everything is about business are the ones who actually make and keep money in the end.
People Take Advantage
Everything will go back to celebrity life being a business. If you’re in music, if you’re an actor, a political figure, an heiress, or just a trust fund baby, you’re going to find that when you have fame, it doesn’t mean that the money is flowing in. People will take advantage of you. You have to know what you’re doing. You can’t make money with a pretty face. It’s all about what you do with that pretty face.
The money that celebrities are making comes from magazine shoots, tours, clothing lines, perfume lines, and other businesses. First and foremost, the name is the brand, but because people take advantage and there are so many hands in the cookie jar, many celebs aren’t really that rich. They have to keep inventing new ways to make money to live.
