While on the Sydney leg of her The Truth About Love Tour, the songstress snatched a rainbow flag from a fan and wore it in a scarf-like fashion, as she performs her 2003 hit “Trouble“.
Unknowingly, that ‘trouble’ would be the scene that the act caused afterwards: people immediately thought she’s a lesbian!
The married popstar, also a mother of one, tweeted with a wit that she can only pull off.
The singer, who’s Alecia Moore in real life, responds, “Fun fact:when you twitter me and say “you’re a lesbian” it really doesn’t bother me at all. It’s a compliment. Most of my fav ppl are, so…”
“I’m sure all of you hate filled humans can come up with something a little worse than that?! Come on- be creative. You have 140 characters!” she adds.
P!nk has always been known to support the LGBT community. As quoted by Huffington Post, she has envisioned a liberal future in a Gaydar radio interview.
“I think that the best day will be when we no longer talk about being gay or straight,” the 33-year-old performer shares.
“It’s not a ‘gay wedding’, it’s just a ‘wedding’. It’s not a ‘gay marriage’, it’s just ‘a marriage’.”
