It’s about time they came up with their own label. Celebrity twin moguls Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen tied up with J.C. Penny to launch Olsenboye, a teen line that promises to sell stylish Olsen designs for under $50. The clothes finally made it to the J.C. Penny racks this week.
“Inspired by trends and qualities unique to beloved cities around the world, each travel-themed Olsenboye collection offers stylish options that allow customers to express themselves and celebrate their journey through life with fashion,” the official website said. “The mix and match collection offers clothing and accessories: denim, dresses, skirts, shorts, jackets, handbags, and shoes with spirited, edgy styling evidenced by peace signs, graphic pins, and signature touches throughout.”
The designs actually don’t represent the twins’ personal styles, such as their famous bohemian look. Instead, Olsenboye is an expression of their travels and films. And when they say “films,” they’re actually referring to video adventures revolving around Olsenboye Girls, who are dressed in none other than Olsenboye clothes. The videos will be uploaded regularly on the website.
