As it turned out, there’s a more serious reason why Selena Gomez cancelled the Asian and Australian legs of her “Stars Dance” tour.
Unlike previous reports that mentioned a rehab stint for the singer-actress, a new one has surfaced: she’s suffering from Lupus.
A source shares to Popdust that the former Disney star was diagnosed with the ‘autoimmune disease’ a few years ago, which contributed to her recent facial swelling, extreme fatigue, headaches, and joint pain.
“Selena has been going full throttle the past few years and her Lupus is really catching up with her right now,” the source adds.
“She knows that she needs to take some time to address the disease and look after herself better if she wants to live a full and healthy life.”
“No comment” was the only reply Huffington Post got from Gomez’ representatives when they tried to confirm the news. As to the rehab rumors, however, an insider quickly debunked it.
“She is not having a breakdown. She wants to be the healthiest that she can be and this means taking a little break. But she is fine. She is OK,” E! News quotes.
