After co-owner Donald Trump made some controversial comments ’bout ’em Mexicans, here comes another Miss USA winner!
Held in Baton Rouge, Louisiana for the second time, the top prize went to Miss Oklahoma’s Olivia Jordan, whose hot pink strapless dress (complete with a full, flowing skirt) bested 50 other contestants.
When asked about Trump’s statements, Jordan gilded the lily and answered this instead: “We have freedom of speech in this country, and immigration is certainly an important issue.”
“This organization is not one person. It’s definitely not just me. It’s a family. This organization celebrates diversity, and I think that was clear on the stage tonight, and I look forward to spreading a message of love and diversity and acceptance,” she adds.
She’s got brains, I’ll tell you that.
