People are making so much fuss about Mindy Kaling‘s ELLE cover for February!
The The Mindy Project star is part of the fashion magazine’s “Women in Television” issue, which also includes covers by Zooey Deschanel, Amy Poehler, and Allison Williams. However, unlike them, Kaling’s photo is only focused on her face, and is black-and-white.
At once, it became a hot topic on cyberspace, with many claiming ELLE’s decision as due to her “size 8” figure, and the color choice to her Asian roots.
“I love my @ELLEmagazine cover,” Mindy tweets otherwise. “It made me feel glamorous & cool. And if anyone wants to see more of my body, go on thirteen dates with me.”
The actress even joked, “Wishing for more skin on my @ELLEmagazine cover? Chris Messina & I are naked on a brand new #themindyproject tonight, ya pervs! 930/830 FOX.”
Clearly, the comedienne doesn’t have any beef with the publication.
“Mindy looks sexy, beautiful and chic. We think it is a striking and sophisticated cover and are thrilled to celebrate her in our Women in TV issue,” ELLE tells E! News.
We think so too!
