Lynda Carter, the woman responsible for holding the reigns of Wonder Woman in the 70’s TV series has voiced her approval for the new, “sexier” Wonder Woman outfit.
The new outfit which now features a denim jacket and leggings is the first remake of the character in 69 years. The costume is also a far cry from the spandex and halter top Carter had to squeeze into.
Carter told ABC News:
“I think it will take time for people to get over not seeing a lot of leg,” adding. “I think it’s going to be very sexy and it’s new and I love the little cap sleeve. You know, she’s a hip girl.”
J.Michael Straczynski, the current writer of the DC series spoke with IGN.com about the recent makeover:
“She was stuck in 1941. And as female friends of mine kept asking, ‘how does she fight in that (bustier) thing without all her parts flying out? How does she carry her stuff?”
