Television actress Kristin Chenoweth was struck by lighting equipment today while shooting a scene with Josh Charles for the CBS drama ‘The Good Wife’ in Brooklyn.
The shoot was going smoothly until a strong gust of wind knocked over a section of scaffold sending an overhead light crashing on the set.
The piece of equipment hit Kristin Chenoweth right smack on the head. The actress went down hard and to the horror of her co-stars she looked quite lifeless.
“I thought she was dead at first.” According to a witness who was at the shoot.
Paramedics treated the popular TV star on the scene and fitted her with a neck brace. Kristin was quickly whisked away in an FDNY ambulance to a nearby hospital. According to the New York Fire Department, Kristin Chenoweth is undergoing treatment for minor injuries.
This is not the first time the actress had an on-set accident, she has that unfortunate history of being accident-prone. In 2003, Kristin suffered a neck injury during her broadway stint for “Wicked” and in 2006 she fell off the stage during rehearsals for the “The Apple Tree.” She also tumbled down a flight of stairs on the set of “Glee”.
