Kelly Clarkson sure is one heck of a performer.
The first American Idol winner just paid Ellen DeGeneres a visit, a week after her emotional and amazing stripped-down performance of her latest single, “Piece By Piece,” on the last week’s episode of the talent search.
“I came off almost in tears for a different reason because I was so embarrassed. I was like “Oh God this is my final thing on Idol and I could not hold it together,” the 33-year-old singer gushes.
Referring to the song itself, she says “…the song is incredibly sad … It’s just incredibly… it’s sad, but hopeful.. cause a lot of us we didn’t have a bar to set as far as finding love and relationships. Or friendships in any form.”
We are so glad that Kelly’s in a better place now.
