In an effort to reach out to the victims of the Haiti earthquake, John Travolta is flying one of his private jets from Florida to the third-world country on Monday night. The 55-year-old actor, a licensed pilot who started taking flying lessons when he was 15, will bring relief supplies to the victims with the help of his wife Kelly Preston and Scientology doctors and volunteers.
“I have arranged for a plane to take down some volunteer ministers and some supplies and some medics,” he told ET. “My church has also arranged for 80 medics and 33 volunteers to go down. I hope it inspires others.”
