Blonde & busty actress Jessica Simpson is featured in the latest issue of Elle magazine & it looks like the starlet has actually revealed something other than her infamous cleavage.
For instance, did you know that Jess is allergic to all the good things in life? Yep, Jessica is allergic to cheese, chocolate & coffee. What the hell? How does she survive? How can she even visit France with that kind of allergy list?Â
Anyhoo, in the article, Simpson told the interviewer that her marriage to Nick Lachey had a chance to survive right up until two days before they publicly announced the split.Â
What was so vital that it was going to change the 26-year-old’s mind to hang on to Lachey? A movie, of course.
“I watched The Notebook on a plane home to Waco to go be with my grandparents. It’s a great love story.”
So, an airline movie made you seal the deal?
“No, that’s not what sealed it,” Jessica stated.
“I just figured out the statement. It was about that moment of desperation. I needed to breathe.”
I see. Here’s some more highlights of that interview.
On Her Fame:
“I think that having a public career is a bargain with the devil.”
On Living After Divorce:
“Something big is happening. I am so happy right now.”
On Her Music Career:
“I don’t care if my album sells. I don’t need the money. I want my album to sell because people want to hear it, not because people want to look at the cover.”
On That Sexy “These Boots are Made for Walkin'” Music Video:
“That video put me on the map as an actress because I don’t walk around in a bikini and dance like that. That was so out of character for me. I’m a very sexual person, and I’m comfortable with my sexuality, but not publicly.”
On Jess’s Dukes of Hazzard costar Joe Don Baker referring to her breasts as “t-tties” on set:
“I actually thought it was funny. We had already gone through three months of shooting, and I was friends with him. I laughed my butt off. Are you kidding? [The cleavage] is a distraction to me! It screws up every outfit I wear.”
On “Newlyweds”:
“I’m happy I did the show. I’m happy I was married. I’m happy that he was in my life. I have no regrets.not one.”
On Nick Saying He Regrets Doing the Show:
“I didn’t twist his arm. I didn’t say, ‘I’m going to leave you if we don’t do it.'”
On Seeing Her Ex-Husband with a New Woman:
“Oh, it hurt me. Two or three weeks later? Yeah, I’d say it kind of hurt me.”
On Keeping in Touch with Lachey:
“Mm-hmm. He’s so much a part of my life, how could I not be?”
So, after reading these little snippets from the recent Elle issue, do you feel like you know Jessica Simpson a little better today than you did yesterday? Are you still a happy Simpson fan?
