Jennifer Lopez is the first ever spokeswoman for the Boy & Girls Club of America.
The organization has had spokesmen on the books for years, including Denzel Washington who has served the organization for 18 years.
Lopez will provide her voice and face to print and commercial ads for Boys & Girls Club across the country.
In a press release the group said:
“By inviting fellow-alumnus Jennifer Lopez to join him as national spokesperson, Denzel is expanding this key role to two people for the first time in the organization’s 104-year history. adding, “The announcement commemorates the 20th anniversary of the organization’s name change from ‘Boys Clubs’ to ‘Boys & Girls Clubs of America,’ marking the expansion of the mission to reach all young people in need.”
What do you think of J. Lo as the new female face of the club? It does surprise me that the Boys & GIRLS club never had a public female face.
