James Franco is moving from the silver screen to the halls of Yale University. According to recent reports the UCLA graduate who also studied film at New York University and received his masters degree of fine arts from Columbia University will begin working towards his doctorate in English and film studies at the university, where he’ll also be teaching his own “very special class.”
Franco told Good Morning America:
“I am going to teach at Yale. It’s in the works. I have a very special class I will be teaching next January.”
Franco isn’t the first younger actor to make such a move, actor Kal Penn of Harold and Kumar Go To Whitecastle fame has taught in the Asian American Studies Program at the University of Pennsylvania (known as “Penn”) in Philadelphia.
