Literally Frozen: Idina Menzel separates from his husband of 10 years, Taye Diggs. Wish we could “let this go”.
No worries though, since the decision was said to be mutual by their representatives.
“Idina Menzel and Taye Diggs have jointly decided to separate this time,” they tell People magazine. “Their primary focus and concern is for their son. We ask that you respect their privacy during this time.”
The acclaimed theater actress already opened up about the rocky stage of their marriage in an interview for the magazine last April.
“We work at it. I’m not going to glamorize it or glorify it — we go through tough times like everybody else, but we love each other very much. We try not to be away from each other for more than two weeks at a time, and we try to find new ways to communicate.”
The ex-couple first met each other on the production of Rent in 1995, and dated for years before finally marrying in 2003.
