TV Land and critically acclaimed sitcom are not words you’d normally put together in the same sentence for a modern day TV show, but that’s exactly what’s happening lately with Hot in Cleveland which co-stars Betty White on Wednesday nights.
After debuting two weeks ago with 5 million viewers, the show managed to pull down an additional and still impressive 3.4 million viewers this week.
Personally I have to admit the second episode which more heavily featured Betty White was even funnier than the first and took the show to a place that if sustained could help the show grow a bigger audience and become a huge hit.
Here’s the show’s synopsis:
Three friends from Los Angeles move to Cleveland to change their lives…hopefully for the better. Each of the females had their own professional lives in L.A. including Melanie Moretti (Valerie Bertinelli) who plays a novelist, Joy Scroggs (Jane Leeves) who stars as an eye-brow archer most famously known for doing the brows of Oprah Winfrey and Victoria Chase (Wendie Malick) a former soap star who’s show was canceled but can’t get over her own eroding fame. Then there’s Betty White as the housekeeper with a saucy attitude.
Hot in Cleveland airs at 10PM on TV Land every Wednesday night.
