Miley Cyrus is obviously ready to put her Hannah Montana days behind her.
“I want to take a step back from music for a while,” she recently said. “I want to continue to do film. Later in life, another record. But for now, I’d like to focus on movies.”
Thanks to Mrs. Kutcher, we now know the new movie Miley is working on. Demi Moore tweeted last week, “Starting a film in July with Miley called LOL.” She later added, “Remake with the same director.”
LOL (Laughing Out Loud) is a 2009 French movie directed by Liza Azuelos. According to IMDB, the film is about a teenage girl named Lola (a.k.a. Lol) who is dealing with a breakup, while her mother is having an affair with her ex-husband. Both mother and daughter are dealing with their issues on love, life, and family. The story also focuses on the role of technology (mobile phones, mp3 players, and internet chatting) and how it still manages to make communication difficult between teens and their parents.
Sounds like a serious plot.
