“Skyscraper”-climbing Demi Lovato is joining the impressive roster of guests on Glee!
As part of a major story arc, the singer-actress will play a pivotal role in the new season (season 5), which we might very well say, was an early birthday gift for her.
Lovato will portray Dani, “a struggling artist in NYC who is also a friend of Rachel and Santana”, TV Line reports.
Naya Rivera, who plays Santana, shares her excitement as she tweets, “So excited for @ddlovato to join our cast! Wonder what we’ll get up to in NYC!”
She will be co-starring with another character, played by American Idol alum Adam Lambert. Several musical bits were written for them together, so that’s something for audiophiles to gobble up on.
Starting with the “Beatles” tribute, the “Made in the USA” songstress will appear on at least six episodes. These guestings will coincide with another FOX show, X Factor — which she judges on — so cross-promoting this diva is expected.
Demi’s last regular acting gig was on Disney Channel before, back when she was one of the Mouse House’s reigning teen queens. She starred in Sonny With a Chance and two installments of Camp Rock, both catapulting her to stardom.
Our fingers are crossed for another brilliant appearance from the 21-year-old!
