You know, it’s always nice to hear when celebrity parents are supportive of their children. With Nicole Richie’s baby on the way, along with her DUI trial set for July 11, this little socialite has a lot on her plate as of late.
But daddy Lionel Richie doesn’t seem to be out of sorts regarding his daughter, who revealed that Nicole continues to apologize for her actions to her father, saying “she keeps apologizing to me. I told her ‘You’re doing exactly what you’re supposed to be doing to your father at this age.”

“There’s just so much information out there right now — MySpace, cell phones, the Internet. If we had had all that when The Commodores were around, God only knows what my mother and father would have seen,” Lionel went on to say.
So, it looks like the father of Nicole’s baby, Joel Madden, will be coming into a very supportive & loving family. Wonder how it will all work out in the end….
