We all know of the standard insurance policies which cover our day to day lives. It’s incomprehensible to us normal folk as to why these policies exist but it goes that step further to ensuring that our A-list stars are held in a regard on an almost immortal level. But, when it comes down to it, even they realise that we’re all human and so they’ve taken every necessary step to ensure that their vulnerable bodies and lives are protected against the glitz, glamour and pitfalls of a celebrity lifestyle. Heidi Klum’s Legs
In 2008, Heidi Klum (supermodel and Mrs Seal) had her towering pins valued at £1.1 million pounds. It’s logical to assume that works out 
at a huge £550,000 per leg, however in fact, due to a small car on her left leg, it’s only worth £500,000. Fortunately such imbalance is not replicated on the catwalk.

Ok so Formula One driver Fernando Alonso’s thumbs are essential to his trade but due to them also becoming a symbol of a winning brand, his Ferrari team have gone to the extent of insuring them for the overwhelming sum of £8.7 million.

It’s always been well documented that sports stars have become accustom to odd insurance policies. I guess this goes someway to highlighting how unworldly our pop stars have become. You would imagine that Mariah’s record company might take out an insurance policy on her voice, right? Instead, Gillette, whom she represents in their ‘Legs of a Goddess’ advertising campaigns, have insured her legs for a whopping $1 billion.
