Apparently Dancing With The Stars has a fetish with crazy right wing conservatives who climbed their way to fame by making stupid decisions or through other people’s accomplishments. It’s been reported that Delaware Republican and all around nutcase Christine O’Donnell could be tapped to perform in the next season of the show.
According to PopEater.com it was Sarah Palin who used her new TV influence to mention O’Donnell (who by no means is a “star”) for the role.
“Sarah is a genius at marketing herself and her message,” a source told PopEater, while adding “She doesn’t care about all the old rules about how political people are meant to behave and act. Sarah believes the best way is to go directly to the people – use Twitter, Facebook, ‘Dancing With the Stars’ and ‘Entertainment Tonight’ to get potential voters excited and leave ‘Meet The Press’ and those boring Sunday morning shows to the old-school politicians.”
In other words, Sarah Palin doesn’t want another Couric moment and she’s trying to bully her friends into positions that better their own careers…sounds just like a future presidential contender to me.
What do you think about the idea of Christine O’Donnell appearing on the show? I think if Gawker’s Nick Denton competes against her I would actually be willing to watch the show.
