Chris Noth says he will no longer step into the shoes of Mr. Big on the one-time hit TV series Sex And The City, announcing the show dead after the second Sex And The City movie failed to impress critics or receive the box office love of the first movie.
Noth opened up about the show during the premiere of Jack Goes Boating this past week. He said the killing of the series was cemented by New York Magazine who he ripped into for bashing SATC 2.
“It’s over. The franchise is dead. The press killed it. Your magazine fucking killed it. New York Magazine. It’s like all the critics got together and said, ‘This franchise must die.’ Because they all had the exact same review. It’s like they didn’t see the movie. Got any more gum?”
What do you think about the death of the show. I think after the reviews, the lousy box office and the fact that no one on the show is getting any younger, it’s probably a good time to call it quits before we have a “Golden Girls And The City” type movie on our hands.
