Russell Crowe is not dead, despite attempts by recent rumor mongers to make it appear that way.
Rumors of Crowe’s demise started circulating around the web on Thursday morning and got so out of hand that he had to release a statement in which he confirms (not from beyond the grave), that he’s still alive and kicking.
The rumor was simple, stating that Crowe had died while filming a scene for a new movie in Kitzbuhel, Australia. New York City pop station Z100 said the Oscar winner was filling a scene when he plummeted 50 feet to his death, dying in the Hahnenkamm Mountaints.
Online death hoaxes are nothing new, but they don’t always get so out of control that the stars own rep’s have to intervene.
