While you may not have the money that a celebrity does to buy a couple mansion and a house in another country, shopping for a home like a celebrity can be fun to do, even if you only buy an apartment or you get a home in the country. One way to learn how to house shop like a celebrity is to look at the homes that celebrities own, or ones that they are selling.
If you do have the money that celebrities have, maybe you’ll want to buy one of their homes. It’s pretty likely that it will have some pretty special amenities, like jacuzzi rooms, a gym, and maybe even a theater room. You’ll be paying a pretty penny, but wouldn’t it be fun to say you live in Brad Pitt’s house?
Don’t Be Afraid To Ask For What You Want
Most celebrities will not consider purchasing a home or condo if it doesn’t have excellent security, a gated entrance, and a home gym. They want what they want, and they won’t settle for anything less. When you are house shopping you shouldn’t settle either.
Of course, you can always hire construction people and designers to come into your home and property and add the things that you want. Maybe you want your own Graceland, like Elvis, or your own Wonderland Ranch, like Michael Jackson.
Don’t Worry If It’s Too Big
Celebrities have a thing for buying large and lavish homes, so don’t worry if it’s just you and your spouse and it’s a five bedroom house. Instead. focus on what you can do with all of that extra space. You could have that theater room in one of the bedrooms.
Maybe you need the extra rooms for your collection of dogs, like Paris Hilton’s pups or the Osbourne’s menagerie of mutts. or, maybe you need the extra rooms for your future children. You could use them as guest bedrooms, if you have lots of friends and like to throw lavish parties.
Consider The Future When You Shop
Panic rooms aren’t just something in movies, they can be found in some celebrity homes, and they are generally pretty elaborate so the general eye won’t know they are a secret room. Some celebrities believe the end of the world is coming and build underground bunkers in the homes.
You could buy Tom Cruise’s compound in California, and equip it as your home for the end of the world. What better place to bug-in than a compound in the desert? Maybe you’d prefer one somewhere else, but make sure it’s a place where you can grow your own food all year round, if you really want to get off the grid.
Celebrities can be fun to watch, in life and in the movies. If you are a fan, and you have the funds, consider buying a home that was once owned by one of your favorites. If not, at least take their advice and find a home that suits you and your needs, and is made to keep you safe, no matter what the future holds!
