It’s not enough that celebrities pretend to live extreme lives in the movies or on television shows. It’s only acting after all. That unbelievable stunt you saw was done by a stunt man. That mountain scape the actor pretended to ski down on one ski, with their hands tied behind their back, while a mob of angry Russians with their guard dogs chased after them didn’t really happen. It was all put in through CGI. It’s all a lie.
Because it’s all a lie, celebrities and actors can only feel fulfilled in their lives if they have some sort of extreme hobby, right? It only makes sense. The movies give them a taste of what life could be, but they’re never allowed to actually live their lives on the edge. They have to be in perfect condition for their next movie.
Alright, maybe everything stated above doesn’t hold a single ounce of truth. However, there are celebrities that have some pretty extreme hobbies. Here are some examples, just to name a few.
Dr. Dreamy Does More than Just Look Good
Who could imagine that Dr. Dreamy from Grey’s Anatomy could do more than just act and look pretty? Apparently Patrick Dempsey has a deep love for the extreme hobby of auto racing. It might not sound all that extreme, but those cars are going ridiculously fast!
Dempsey feels just as connected to racing as he does to acting. He has gone on record to say that he would give up acting if he could, and decicate all of his time to racing. The world might not be able to handle that, but any woman would probably not mind being taken for a ride in Dempsey’s Porsche.
Who Tattoos Their Own Body?
In order to be a tattoo artist you not only have to be a good artist, you also have to have a steady hand and preferably, have another body to work on. This isn’t the case for Daniel Agger. Agger is a Danish professional football (soccer, for all the American folk) player and his entire body is covered in his extreme hobby.
The extreme part? He has done several of his tattoos himself. If the modern way of doing tattoos didn’t exist, you could probably give him something sharp and he would carve a tattoo into his body using ancient methods found throughout the globe. Gnarly to think about, but it is a thing.
The extreme hobbies definitely get more extreme than even this. When you have the resources, what’s stopping you from doing all the crazy things you’ve ever wanted to do in life? Celebrities aren’t limited to one passion and it’s just as likely that in their free time they’d do more than just golf and lounge around in the sun.
