Brendan Fraser and his broadway show “Elling” will be coming to an end after just 22 previews and nine performances. The final show for “Elling” will take place on Sunday, Nov. 29, making it one of the shortest Broadway runs in recent years.
The show is a theatrical take on Simon Bent’s Norwegian comedy and starred Fraser and Denis O’Hare. The show has earned just $145,070 after eight performances and most tickets were sold at sharp discounts.
On his Facebook page O’Hare said:
“If you want to see Elling, ya better hurry. We are being closed down this Sunday… yup. Our producers will go no further. Happy Thanksgiving!”
Definitely sounds like a little sting in O’Hare’s statement, but could you blame him, outside of rehearsals he barely worked for a week.
