It looks like Lionel Richie isn’t the only one who’s producing a star-studded song to benefit Haiti earthquake victims. American Idol’s Simon Cowell is organizing a celebrity record as well.
“We are going to do a single. I wanted to do something for Haiti, and we had a request from the Prime Minister to put a record together,” he told reporters at the National Television Awards in London last Wednesday.
He is working with singers such as Susan Boyle, Michael Bublé, Rod Stewart, and Leona Lewis to sing REM’s ballad “Everybody Hurts.” Just like Lionel Richie’s upcoming “We Are The World” remake, all proceeds of Simon’s production will go to Haiti earthquake victims.
Which Haiti-benefit single would you purchase, “We Are The World” or “Everybody Hurts?”
