Back in the day, googling the name Heidi will take you back to your childhood storybooks of a young girl’s adventures in the Swiss Alps. Fast forward to 2009 and there’s a new Heidi who tops the search engines.
Heidi’s dirty Playboy cover for the month of September. She went from a cup A to C in a 2007 plastic surgery, but don’t expect to see her hills in this issue. Heidi didn’t go all the way for the shoot.
Love her or hate her, Heidi Montag’s road to fame has been one crazy ride. After all, reality stars have a short a life span; they’re only as good as their last reality show. They need to extend their shelf life with (a) another reality show, (b) an acting career (which tells you how real reality TV is, c) a music career (which is usually for American Idol contestants) or (d) other money-making ventures.
You all know Heidi is not the type to let her stardom sink into oblivion. After The Hills and numerous attention-grabbing stints, Heidi attempted to break through as a singer with the launch of her first music video, “Higher,†directed by none other than her biggest fan and hubby, Spencer Pratt.
Fun facts about the video:
- According to the director, cameraman, and visual artist Spencer Pratt, the video was shot in 30 minutes flat.
- The total budget for the indie video was: “Zero dollars,†revealed Pratt.
- When it premiered in February 2008, it received an almost unanimous negative poll in celebrity websites worldwide.
Her latest attempt to prove that she has the makings of a singer, Heidi recently performed at the Miss Universe 2009 Pageant. She launched her new single “Body Language†by performing in nude-colored tight pants and a belly-baring top that reminds us a little too much of Britney Spears.
The verdict? Well, since the Miss Universe Pageant gives viewers a chance to vote for their favorite candidates online, then you be the judge of Heidi’s first live performance. Did she lip-synch or did it feel like the real thing?
You know what they say, “Don’t ever let anyone tell you that you can’t do it†or something like that. It looks like the 22-year-old isn’t letting her critics stop her from becoming the next pop star.
