For many auto fanatics, the idea of having endless wealth to blow on the brightest and best automobiles would be a dream come true. For some celebrities, it is everyday life.
Of all the extravagant gifts celebrities give each other, fine automobiles just might be the most enviable. Being able to drop close to a million dollars on an indulgent, unnecessary “birthday car” seems unrealistic, but for these celebrities it is more than possible. Maybach Exelero
Wouldn’t be nice to have $8 million to blow on a one-of-a-kind car designed and purchased by you? Jay-Z had exactly that much to spend on his new Maybach Exelero. This sleek automobile weighs over two tons, but can still reach speeds of 218 miles per hour! With an interior comprised of leather, aluminum and carbon fiber, it is clear that this is Jay-Z’s demonstration of wealth.
Fisker Karma
Not quite as exclusive as the Exelero, the Fisker was only made from 2011-2013 and was purchased by a number of celebrities. This luxury sedan is powered by electricity, and Justin Bieber’s version was chrome plated! Other celebrities who jumped on the Karma bandwagon include Ice-T, Ashton Kutcher, Leonardo DiCaprio, Al Gore, Cee Lo Green, Joe Jonas, Taylor Lautner and Phil Mickelson.
Bentley GT Continental
A lasting symbol of wealth, the Bentley is a luxury automobile pairing a polished exterior with a comfortable interior. Perhaps the most notable of these autos is the one owned by Paris Hilton. A real life Barbie, Paris loves the color pink and uses it to match her bubbling personality. Her bubble-gum pink Bentley is a representation of both her wealth and personality.
Blastolene Special
How would you feel driving around in a car that has the engine of an M47 Patton tank? Jay Leno owns one such vehicle that weighs a whopping 5 tons and has no qualms about the attention he attracts. In spite of that significant weight, it is still only 1/10 the weight of the original tank. This monster vehicle produces around 1600 horsepower and has the aesthetic flair to match its crazy engine!
T-Rex
Rob Dyrdek has long been renowned for his passion for adrenaline sports and out of the ordinary hobbies. His “T-Rex” is a motorcycle designed by Campagna that looks like a reverse tricycle. This funky little vehicle fits in perfectly with Dyrdek’s “Fantasy Factory.” In fact, there has been a great deal of footage showing the crew and Dyrdek playing around in it.
Ferrari F430
While other celebrities may limit themselves to one or two ostentatious automobiles, in typical Kardashian style, Kim has gone overboard. With a Ferrari F430, Kim was given as a wedding present for her 72-day marriage with Kris Humphries, she cruises California in style. Kim didn’t limit her car purchasing days there though.
The garage of this infamous Kardashian also houses her two Rolls Royces. Additionally, Kim spent an alleged $750,000 on a lamborghini for Kanye West’s 35th birthday. In spite of the “gift” the vehicle was, Kardashian has still been spotted driving Kanye’s new auto.
