Former boybander Justin Timberlake may not be the “King of Pop” yet, but he’s surely on his way.
This Sunday, as the 2013 Video Music Awards roll in, JT will be receiving the “Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award” — which honors “forerunners” in the music video world. This distinguished list also includes ex Britney Spears, Madonna, and of course, Michael himself.
Mr. Sexy Back has already won 14 awards in the previous years, and is looking to grab some more again with six nominations this year. As a veteran on the VMAs, we’re pretty this distinction isn’t all that new to him.
He’ll also perform on the 25th, so the craziness is only about to hit overdrive.
Most likely, Justin will be doing this as part of the promotion for The 20/20 Experience — 2 of 2, the second installment of the hit album released earlier this year, yielding the favorites “Suit & Tie” and “Mirrors”, to mention a few.
September 30 is the expected release date for this future gem, and like all his recent announcements, he took the full tracklist to Instagram (to our advatange, naturally):
