It’s a big night for the teens this weekend as the 2013 Teen Choice Awards rolled in with its usual slew of bam and glam.
Glee star Darren Criss and ‘pretty little liar’ Lucy Hale took the hosting duties for this year’s event, which was celebrated at the Gibson Ampitheater, Los Angeles.
One Direction bagged four awards, though not without some bashing from everyone’s favorite deviant, Rebel Wilson.
“You know what’s weird? When I found out that there was a band called One Direction, because that’s the name I also gave my a–hole,” says Wilson.
The awards show also became the appropriate venue to celebrate the greatness of Glee, winning an award for Choice TV Show: Comedy, and the late Cory Monteith.
‘He was very special to me and also to the world, and we were very lucky to witness his incredible talent, his handsome smile and his beautiful, beautiful heart,” tearfully says Lea Michele, who won Choice TV Comedy Actress.
Cast members Chord Overstreet and Blake Jenner also bagged trophies for Choice TV Scene Stealer: Male and Choice TV Breakout Star, respectively.
The mega-hot Selena Gomez, on the other hand, took home three: Choice Breakup Song for “Come and Get It”, Choice Music Star: Female, and Choice Hottie: Female.
The last award is not really a surprise, considering her gorgeous dark green dress and flesh-toned heels ensemble. Enchanté!
