It’s safe to say that One Direction is the pop phenomenon of the season. But now they’ve reached the apex of their popularity, what else can they do?
Release a 3D film, of course!
Yes, the boys – Harry, Louis, Zayn, Niall and Liam – are cementing their superstar statuses with One Direction: This Is Us, a behind-the-scenes documentary directed by no less than Morgan Spurlock.
Judging by the trailer (WATCH IT HERE!), it’s gonna be in depth, as the cameras go beyond the screaming Directioners and the concerts alone; the boys head out to their hometowns and revisit everything’s there to revisit.
One Direction claims that there isn’t any scripted line in the movie, even though the scenes look gorgeous. (The boys always are!)
Member Louis Tomlinson shares to Mirror, “No, nothing at all was scripted. You know if we are asked the question, we just answer naturally.”
Meanwhile, tattoo-ridden Zayn says that they actually have “total control” of the project.
As a total marketing tool for the boy band, they’ll be including new music such as the recently-released “Best Song Ever”, whose video has just broken Vevo’s records. (WATCH IT HERE!)
Within 24 hours, the clip garnered 10.9 million views, surpassing twerk diva Miley Cyrus‘ “We Can’t Stop”, as reported by USA Today.
There’s just no stopping these boys on world domination. One Direction: This Is Us opens on the US this August 30, 2013.
