Black haired-turned-brunette pop sensation Demi Lovato affirms that she’s “Made in the USA” in her latest music video.
This time around, it’s set on a carnival, where a love story between an all-American girl and a soldier play out. The two go on with their summer romance, until the guy is drafted for another military duty. (WATCH IT HERE!)
The love birds are played by 90210’s Dustin Milligan and Friday Night Lights’ Aimee Teegarden, who both did a pretty good job of pulling off a Dear John-esque narrative for the viewers.
Of course, not to be missed out is Demi herself, who, aside from singing throughout, has actually co-directed the video.
“I came up with the treatment for the video, I saw the shots that I wanted to do,” Demi shares on its behind-the-scenes. “I told my manager and I kind of walked him through it step-by-step, and he said, ‘Well, why don’t you just direct it since you know what you want.”
The outcome? Demi sure can direct, and the music video (which was film-like, by the way), was near perfection. Kudos!
