It looks like Ricky Martin isn’t the only celebrity coming out about his/her gender preference.
HBO True Blood’s Anna Paquin revealed on Thursday that she swings both ways.
“I’m bisexual and I give a damn,” she said.
Her message came in a celebrity-laden public service announcement for the Give a Damn campaign, an internet-based anti-discrimination effort led by singer Cyndi Lauper’s True Colors fund.
The 27-year-old actress, who is engaged to her True Blood costar Stephen Moyer, surprised even the video crew, because they didn’t know she was bisexual until the shoot. Not all celebrities who are part of the campaign are necessarily gay, bi, or lesbian, such as Kim Kardashian and Sharon Osbourne.
True Blood fans were so shocked by Anna’s statement that they all simultaneously logged on to Give A Damn, causing the site to crash last week.
